Here is a sneak preview of my current exhibition, ‘The Meaning’ at SCAT (Shrewsbury College of Art and Technology), my old art college in leafy Shropshire. The show is formed of 11 screen prints each of which was born out my sketchbook, where I play with drawing and found collage.
This is the first public outing of the series, so many thanks to the guys at SCAT for inviting me back and giving me the opportunity to release it into the wild.
This month I have mainly been printing, printing, printing! At some point I shall show off my finished wears, but for now here are some sneaky peaks of the printer person at work (thankyou Mnstr, I owe you one!)
My flask of tea is my friend (what a lonely soul I am).
These films are made up of all the photos I have taken on my mobile phone over the last year. In the first film I have over-layed two sequences of the photos running from the most recent to oldest and back again. In the second film, I have run these two sequences of the photos running in reverse and then in fast-forward side by side each other as a split screen.
The films act like some kind of time-lapse memory-bank of the things I have seen and experienced over the last few months.
Thankyou to MNSTR for making the sounds!
Mr MNSTR made a beautiful little sketchbook for me a couple of years ago. I only just got round to filling it up with lots of gubbins. Have a closer look-see here http://www.flickr.com/photos/lucy_sky1/sets/72157631590195653/
